in the search bar, select "compound" from the dropdown menu,and then search your desired compound using various identifiers like compound names, synonyms, SMILES,NMPC-ID,Pubchem ID,InChlkey, or molecular formula to find the compound of interest.

    COMPOUND SEARCH RESULT

  1. Field (1) displays the names of matching queries. For more details, simply click on the names presented in the field.
  2. Field (2) display the synonyms of the corresponding compound.
  3. Field (3) displays the Nigerian Medicinal Plants and Phytochemicals Database compound ID (NMPC-ID) of the corresponding compound.
  4. Field (4) displays PubChem ID of the corresponding compound or synonym you've queried.
  5. Field (5) display the Molecular formula of the corresponding compound.
  6. Field (6) reveals the number of distinct species that contain the given molecule or synonym. For more details, simply click on the numbers shown in the field.

  1. Field (1): by clicking on a letter (A-Z) or numbers (1-9), compounds with names that begin with the chosen letter or number will be displayed in the list field.
  2. Field (2): displayed compound names in both alphabetical and numerical order.
  3. Field (3): display the synonyms of the corresponding compounds.
  4. Field (4): displays the Nigerian Medicinal Plants and Phytochemicals Database compound ID (NMPC-ID) of the corresponding compounds
  5. Field (5) displays PubChem ID of the corresponding compounds.

  4. Field (4) shows the names of distinct species that contain the phytochemical. For more details, simply click on the Plant species name(s).
  5. Field (5) provides a brief description of the compound along with source references.
  6. Field (6) provides the option to download the 3D-SDF file for the corresponding compound.

How can I use the Downloads? ▶️

In order to use NMPPDB compounds for virtual screening, you can proceed as follows:

1. Download the files from the downloads page.

2. You may prefer to download the uploaded SMILES files and prepare your compound library, using a software of your choice or you can directly download and use the prepared uploaded SDF files.
