First Aid

EYES:

1. Remove contact lenses if present.

2. Flush eyes with water or saline for 20-30 minutes while calling for medical help.

3. Do not use any ointments or medications without physician's instruction.

4. Transport the victim to a hospital immediately, even if no symptoms appear.

SKIN:

1. Flood affected area with water and remove contaminated clothing.

2. Wash skin thoroughly with soap and water.

3. If redness or irritation develops, call a physician and prepare to transport the victim to a hospital.

INHALATION:

1. Leave the contaminated area and breathe fresh air.

2. If symptoms like wheezing, coughing, or shortness of breath develop, call a physician and prepare to transport the victim to a hospital.

3. Provide rescuers with proper respiratory protection, preferably a Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA).

INGESTION:

1. Do not induce vomiting.

2. If conscious and not convulsing, give 1-2 glasses of water and call for medical help.

3. Prepare to transport the victim to a hospital if advised by a physician.

4. If convulsing or unconscious, do not give anything by mouth, ensure the airway is open, and lay the victim on their side with the head lower than the body. Transport immediately to a hospital (NTP, 1992).
