| About the compound: |   Glutaric acid is an alpha,omega-dicarboxylic acid that is a linear five-carbon dicarboxylic acid. It has a role as a human metabolite and a Daphnia magna metabolite. It is an alpha,omega-dicarboxylic acid and a dicarboxylic fatty acid. It is a conjugate acid of a glutarate(1-) and a glutarate. GHS Hazard Statements • H314 (39.23%): Causes severe skin burns and eye damage [Danger Skin corrosion/irritation] • H318 (39.23%): Causes serious eye damage [Danger Serious eye damage/eye irritation] • H319 (60.77%): Causes serious eye irritation [Warning Serious eye damage/eye irritation] First Aid If exposed: EYES: Remove contact lenses, flush with water for 20-30 mins, seek medical help, transport to hospital immediately.
