Estragole is a colorless liquid with odor of anise. Insoluble in water. Isolated from rind of perseagratissimagrath. and from oil of estragon. Found in oils of Russian anise, basil, fennel turpentine, tarragon oil, anise bark oil. (NTP, 1992)
